Spores ellipsoidal (5.5-6.5) x (3.5-4) µm2. Basidia clavate, 4-spored.

Edibility

Although once considered edible, research has indicated that it might be carcinogenic, hence it should not be eaten. There are also some deadly poisonous lookalikes including Clitocybe dealbata, providing futher reason not to eat this species.
